The Executive Board of Tri Delta announced today that it has temporarily suspended the operations of Gamma Theta Chapter at the University of California, Santa Barbara, effective June 14, 2019.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have suspended the operations of our Gamma Theta Chapter at UCSB, for a minimum of four years,” said Kimberlee Di Fede Sullivan, Tri Delta’s Fraternity President. “The decision was made following several years of declining membership numbers, which has led to an inability to sustain chapter operations.”
The chapter will continue its normal operations for the 2018-2019 year, strengthening their sisterhood and participating in UCSB and community events.
“Our priority now is assisting our collegiate members through this transition. These are valued members who will continue their lifelong membership in Tri Delta as unaffiliated collegiate members,” said Sullivan. “Tri Delta has enjoyed over 30 years as a part of the UCSB and Isla Vista communities. We are working with our loyal alumnae and the university to ensure a successful return to full operations at UCSBso that future generations of Tri Deltas may engage in our sisterhood, dedicated to help women live, learn and lead – with Purpose – for a lifetime.”
