Effective January 1, 2025, Tucker will lead Tri Delta into its next chapter of growth and innovation.
Dallas, Texas, December 18, 2024 – Tri Delta is pleased to announce the appointment of Mindy Tucker as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Tucker will lead Tri Delta in partnership with the Executive Board and Executive Leadership Team, and Foundation and Housing Board leaders, bringing her vision, leadership, and professional expertise to further elevate the nonprofit’s legacy of sisterhood, leadership, and service.
With more than 30 years of leadership experience across the corporate, nonprofit, political, and government sectors, Tucker brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. Notably, she was the first woman to serve as the Director of Public Affairs and chief spokesperson at the U.S. Department of Justice, and she was in that post on September 11, 2001.
“Mindy Tucker is the highest caliber leader, and we are fortunate to have such a skilled, experienced, and proven professional at the helm of Tri Delta,” said Elizabeth Howard DiMartino, Tri Delta Fraternity President. “Mindy is undeniably the right leader for this moment in time as we work toward reaching new heights through growth, innovation, and strengthening our enterprise.”
“There is so much to be excited about at this moment for Tri Delta,” Tucker said. “We’re a powerful women’s organization with a deep legacy of sisterhood, leadership, and impact. Looking to the future, I’m energized to grow and innovate Tri Delta by renewing our focus on alumnae engagement, expanding our collegiate chapters, growing the impact of Tri Delta’s Foundation, and maximizing the strength of our brand. I can’t wait to partner with Tri Delta leaders, volunteers, members and staff to write our next chapter.”
Tucker added, “Tri Delta has been a part of my story since I joined the Theta Kappa Chapter at Southern Methodist University. It gave me foundational leadership skills that I have carried with me throughout my career. Tri Delta has also taught me important life lessons—the importance of nurturing friendships, giving back to our communities, and mentoring others. I am honored to find myself now leading an organization that has given so much to me. I look forward to continued engagement and collaboration with everyone involved with Tri Delta to make our fraternity even more impactful in the years to come,” Tucker said.
Tucker was selected for the CEO role following a comprehensive and inclusive nationwide search process led by the woman-owned national executive search firm, BeecherHill. Since March 2024, Tucker has been serving as Tri Delta’s Interim CEO and previously served as the organization’s Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President of Marketing Communications. Throughout more than seven years with Tri Delta, she has led key initiatives such as the award-winning Kindness Initiative, the organization’s technology modernization efforts, the creation and execution of Tri Delta’s strategic plan, and the management of the organization’s diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging initiatives.
Before joining Tri Delta, Tucker was a partner at Crux Partners, specializing in crisis communications and reputation management. Her career also includes roles as Vice President of Strategic Communications at West Health, Senior Advisor at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, and senior positions on gubernatorial and presidential campaigns, along with key government roles at both the state and federal levels. Tucker earned a BBA in Organizational Business from the Cox School of Business at SMU.
