Alabama – Delta Mu
Elizabeth Yeager Washington, faculty of Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, was named a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar. While there, she taught a course on democratic citizenship education and researched Czech students’ experiences with civic education.
Baylor – Beta Tau
Jennifer Weems Willie is featured in a major article in the February 2023 issue of The Wacoan for her work as a Palliative Care Child Life Specialist.
Congratulations to GayMarie West Vaughan who earned her Doctor of Liberal Studies degree from SMU! What an incredible feat.
Florida State – Alpha Eta
Congratulations to Tara Travieso and Lauren Wood Weaver named The Top 50 Women Leaders of Jacksonville for 2023. Tara is a Consultant Relations Executive at Carrot Fertility, the leading global fertility healthcare company, and Lauren Wood Weaver has over 15 years of experience in the global amusement and entertainment industry.
Laura Krueger Brock has been named the St. Petersburg Panhellenic Woman of the Year, honored at a luncheon on January 20, 2024.
Nan Casper Hillis, former FSU alumna advisor and current member of Tri Delta’s Finance Committee, was selected as the commencement speaker for the College of Business AND the College of Arts and Sciences held in May In Tallahassee, Florida.
Furman – Gamma XI
Maria Croley Madden was recently installed as Head of School at St. Martin’s Episcopal School in Atlanta, Georgia. Congratulations! They are lucky to have you!
Torry Kridel and Nicole Warren were awarded the Furman Fellows Award, a $10,000 award given to five rising seniors each year to carry out a proposed project during their senior year. Nicole completed her project this school year, and Torry will begin hers for the 2024-2025 school year.
Illinois State – Beta Omicron
Pam Dorner-Saxhaug has been inducted into three different cheerleading Halls of Fame and was honored with an award named after her in the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association, which she founded.
Lindsy Perry won the Gayle Webb New Professional Award! She is currently the Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Affairs at Austin Peay State University.
Maine – Alpha Kappa
Amanda Dutil MacIsaac ran from New York City to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness about Down syndrome, along with two other Tri Delta sisters with sons with the genetic condition.
Ohio State – Nu
Brittany Devies was awarded the NASPA’s Student Leadership Programs Knowledge Community – Dr. Susan R. Komives Research Award. This is particularly special because Dr. Susan R. Komives is a Tri Delta alumna from Alpha Eta Chapter at Florida State University and has become a treasured mentor in Brittany’s career. They are also both Distinguished Deltas from previous Trident issues!
Oklahoma State – Phi Upsilon
Chris Paxton McMillin received the Training Magazine Network Choice Award for her Oklahoma-based company D3 Training Solutions. Way to go!
Southern California – Theta Xi
Tara Campbell was named one of 10 women who have paved the way in Orange County politics! She says she is humbled to be named amongst trailblazing women, including Congresswoman Young Kim, Congresswoman Michelle Steel and the Honorable Marian Bergeson.
Tennessee – Delta Sigma
Davidson County General Sessions Judge Lynda Jones accepted an accolade at the 4th Annual Women Who Rock Nashville Black-Tie Gala held at the prestigious Music Center in Nashville.
Texas-Dallas – Epsilon Theta
Elizabeth Phan, first-generation daughter of two immigrant parents, is in her final year of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
Virginia Tech – Beta Nu
Congratulations to Robin Shirley for recently founding a non-profit foundation, Compass Center Learning, dedicated to prioritizing health and wellness in early childhood education, and building a model school in Virginia.
Wyoming – Theta Eta
Charlotte Hearne Davis won the 2023 Medallion Service Award after serving the university for 34 years.
