How can Mr. Rogers—one of the original and most successful virtual teachers—help us all become better, more intentional leaders in 2021? Through kindness, of course!
It’s only fitting, then, that Tri Delta alumnae Alison French, Cornell, and Stephanie Hubka, Carnegie Mellon, had parallel lightbulb moments in their leadership consulting work. Each felt a familiarity with the kindness-focused lessons of Mr. Rogers, and they hoped his compassionate teachings would resonate with and serve as a basis for leaders of today.
Alison and Stephanie shared this mission with us—and their collective work to bring more kindness to our lives, our work and the world—during a recent webinar, kicking off the next set of personal and professional courses on Tri Delta’s LEADDDer.org, the Leading Others Certificate. Stephanie noted, “It’s a really interesting place for all of us as Tri Deltas to find ourselves because kindness is really instilled in everything that we do. It’s some of the earliest memories I have leading up to and through Initiation, and it’s certainly one of the takeaways that I had from my experience. That’s why I think we are so very uniquely positioned to do this work, to find what it means to be leaders who can do so through kindness.”
