Maureen Kempston Darkes, Toronto
Automotive Executive, Trailblazer, Attorney
Maureen is a pioneering automotive executive, a trailblazer and attorney who has left a lasting impact in business leadership. She has earned numerous honors and awards around the world, including induction into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame, thanks to her distinguished career in the roles of General Motors Group Vice President; President of GM Latin America, Africa and Middle East; and member of the GM Automotive Strategy Board. Maureen held the highest operating post ever achieved by a woman at GM at the time
She is a former Director of Bridgeport Health Foundation and served as the former chair for major gifts for Women’s College Hospital Fund Raising Campaigns. Maureen also co-chaired the BC Cancer Foundation’s Millennium Campaign, which focused on genome science and research into finding cures for and treatment of cancer.
Born and raised in Toronto, she earned her bachelor’s degrees from the University of Toronto and has been recognized with many honorary doctor of laws degrees, an honorary doctor of business administration degree and an honorary doctor of commerce degree. Maureen’s impact extends worldwide from receiving the Order of Ontario and an appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada to recognition by the American Bar Association, the honor of the Global Athena Leadership Award and recognition by the Automotive Hall of Fame.

Sandra Beach Lin, Toledo
Mentor, Corporate Director, Women’s Advocate
Sandy leverages 30 years of C-suite and global company operating credentials, a history of business achievement and a commitment to technology and innovation as an independent board member of four industrial companies.
Sandy retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of Calisolar, Inc. (now Silicor Materials). She previously served as Corporate Executive Vice President of Celanese Corporation, where she led a group of global Specialty Materials businesses. She also held executive roles at Honeywell, Avery Dennison and Alcoa.
A graduate of the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Business degree, Sandy received her MBA from the Ross School at the University of Michigan. In 2013, she was named to the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship 100. She is a member of the Committee of 200, the International Women’s Forum and the Dallas Assembly. Sandy also serves as a Co-Chair of the Paradigm for Parity® and on the board of the Achievement Foundation.
Sandy currently serves on the Board of Directors of American Electric Power, Avient Corporation, Trinseo Plc and Ripple Therapeutics. A very dedicated Tri Delta volunteer, Sandy served three terms on Tri Delta’s Executive Board and served on the board of Tri Delta Housing. She also brought her high-level finance expertise to Tri Delta and was the founding chair of the Enterprise Finance Committee. Sandy continues to offer support and valuable advice to Tri Delta in financial and business-related matters.

Brooke Wurst, Pennsylvania
Educator, Social Entrepreneur, HIV/AIDS Advocate
Dedicated social entrepreneur, educator and HIV/AIDS advocate, Brooke, has pioneered impactful initiatives, leaving a lasting legacy that empowers communities worldwide and inspires all who are lucky enough to know her.
Brooke is the founder of the TRIAD Trust, an HIV/AIDS education and training non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in remote regions of sub-Saharan Africa and Haiti. She later introduced RemoteID™, a groundbreaking biometric-based mobile identity access management platform tailored for low-resource settings. In 2009, Brooke established Remote Harbor to scale the impact of RemoteID globally. Brooke holds patents for her inventions and actively champions equity-focused social impact. In 2022, she co-founded RAIS3 Partners, which provides strategic and technical advisory support for organizations looking to integrate social and environmental impact into their core business model.
Brooke’s educational journey includes a BA with honors in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science from Northwestern University, studies at Harvard University, a certificate in Business Strategy from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and a certificate in Impact Measurement and Management for the SDGs from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. As an undergraduate at Penn, she was a proud writer, performer and chairwoman of Bloomers—the nation’s first all-female musical comedy sketch troupe. She has never lost that creative spirit, a she currently plays in a band with fellow Tri Deltas!
