What Is a CDC?
A chapter development consultant (CDC) is a vital part of both Tri Delta’s Executive Office staff and our collegiate chapter experience, providing operational and administrative support, leadership development and education.
But here’s what they really do …
- Our CDCs travel—a lot—visiting our chapters and experiencing new places all while honing and gaining valuable professional skills.
- Our CDCs are quick on their feet facilitating workshops, trainings and leadership education to chapters.
- Our CDCs are skilled problem solvers and can figure things out by themselves—at all hours because they know traveling doesn’t always go as planned!
- Our CDCs live out of suitcases and sleep in different locations, and they get energized by meeting new people and finding themselves in new situations.
- Our CDCs guide, uplift and listen to members, offering support with compassion while sometimes needing to have tough conversations to ensure the chapter’s growth and success.
As you can see, being a Tri Delta CDC is not for everyone. But if this list makes you excited and energized, you may just thrive in this once-in-a-lifetime job opportunity!
As a consultant, I worked with a variety of key stakeholders at once which enhanced my collaboration skills. Additionally, I learned to better manage my time to tackle multiple projects and deadlines at once. Being a consultant made me more efficient in every professional position I’ve held.
