From Audit to Action
In spring of 2021, Tri Delta partnered with Culture Shift Team to conduct an enterprise-wide diversity audit that included an extensive review of Tri Delta’s governing documents, policies, and processes; staff and board interviews; a comprehensive leadership assessment focused on cultural competence and organizational readiness for change; and a series of Reflective Dialogue Sessions, or focus groups, with Tri Delta members of color.
What resulted were three key findings:
- We have opportunities to improve our internal documents, policies and processes from a diversity, equity, inclusion, access and belonging (DEIAB) perspective.
- We have an opportunity to broaden our focus around DEIAB to reflect the work that was already happening in areas like access and belonging.
- We need to learn more about our members—who they are and what they need—to help drive the work around DEIAB forward.
These findings, along with all we have learned since the 2020 Convention body called us to action with the LEADDD Now resolution, have led to a renewed commitment to centering DEIAB.
Our Commitment
Anchored in our Purpose, Tri Delta centers diversity, equity, inclusion, access and belonging, as foundational elements of our members’ lifelong journey of development and growth. Inspired by our Ritual, we honor the uniqueness of each of our members, encouraging them to better their best, always, and to act as catalysts for change in the communities they serve.
