Thank you for stepping up as a Tri Delta Ambassador for our Day of Giving! Let’s make Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, a day unlike any other as we celebrate World Kindness Week. As an organization founded on the principle of being kind alike to all, Tri Delta’s Day of Giving is the perfect opportunity to live out our values. Together, we can assist our members in every possible way through the Tri Delta Foundation and make a lasting impact.
Your role as an ambassador is so important.
Donors are four times more likely to contribute when asked by a friend or family member.
People are 16 times more likely to engage with a post shared by a friend rather than one posted by a brand themselves.
What Did I Sign Up To Do, Exactly?
- Simply, to celebrate and inspire Tri Deltas to give. Be a positive influence throughout the day, sharing the importance and impact of Tri Delta. Share about sisterhood, educational and leadership opportunities, and academic and emergency financial support for members!
- Share on social media or via email to sisters you know how Tri Delta’s Foundation makes a difference! All Tri Deltas benefit from educational programming and leadership opportunities and some from scholarships and emergency financial assistance. We are sisters helping sisters, and that’s something to celebrate!
- Lead by example and donate on or before Day of Giving! 😊
- Help us say thank you! Be sure to thank those you’ve asked.
Why Is Raising Money So Important?
Tri Delta’s Foundation is 100% supported by the gifts of our sisters and friends. Funds raised on Day of Giving provide:
- Need- and merit-based academic scholarships with $645,000 in graduate and undergraduate scholarships awarded this year to 222 sisters.
- Emergency assistance through our Crescent Fund to provide a lifeline for collegiate and alumnae sisters facing an unforeseen financial crisis such as unexpected medical expenses, a parent who loses their job or a natural disaster.
- Transformational programming for members, like our Life After College Series that teaches essential skills like salary negotiation and budgeting; Behind Happy Faces, our mental health program; hazing prevention; new member education and much, much more.
Tri Delta’s Day of Giving helps make Tri Delta strong. Tri Delta’s Foundation does what no other nonprofit does by supporting and empowering our members around the world. We are sisters helping sisters—investing in the next generation of women, the next generation of Tri Deltas.
Every gift—big or small—makes a difference!
What You’ll Actually Do Throughout The Day!
We’ve included ways you can share and engage throughout the day, complete with examples you can copy and paste at the end of this toolkit. This doesn’t have to be difficult! Get creative! Here are some ideas:
Lead by example! Make sure you’ve made a gift of $18.88 or more before encouraging others to do so. That way, you can say “join me!” The link to give (tridelta.org/dayofgiving) will be “live” by Nov. 2.
Email your Tri Delta friends! Send a request to foundation@trideltaeo.org for a list of email addresses of sisters within two years of your Initiation date or go to tridelta.org, click the My Tri Delta button in the top right and choose “Sisters You Remember” from the bar at the top of the page. We are happy to help with other contact lists as well.
- PRO TIP: These are the top three reasons why sisters give on Tri Delta’s Day of Giving. Use these motivators as you craft your message:
- “I just love Tri Delta!”
- “Someone asked me to give”
- “I want to help my sisters”
Share on Instagram, Facebook or other social media. Spread the word about Day of Giving and its impact on social platforms. Tag as many Tri Delta friends as you can and encourage them to share their own story of how Tri Delta has made an impact in their life. Be sure to tag Tri Delta, too!

Create a video! We all stay connected through Facebook, texts and emails … but when is the last time you heard a lifelong friend’s voice? Grab your phone and make a video telling your sisters what they mean to you and why you are giving in their honor on Tri Delta’s Day of Giving! Then post it on social media and tag them—or email or text it right to them.
Take it up a notch with a Chapter Challenge. Encourage your chapter sisters to give while challenging other chapters to “bring it”! Make a video or write a post and tag everyone you’re challenging (and Tri Delta). On our giving site, you can see the totals raised per chapter. Watch throughout the day to see how much your chapter has raised and who from your chapter has given.
Spice up your social posts or emails with Tri Delta stickers! Whether you are sending an email or making a social post, we have some digital stickers for you to use. You can download them directly from GIPHY and use them in any of your communications or add them to your Instagram stories.

I saw this message of thanks from a Tri Delta sister of ours who recently received emergency financial assistance from our national organization and it touched me.
Thank you! I am beyond thankful for the generosity shown by my sisters. This fund will go a long way in helping me overcome my financial burden and I am committed to using it responsibly. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I am truly grateful for the support and I hope to pay it forward someday.
The only way Tri Delta can provide help to collegiate (and alumnae) sisters like this is because women like you and me give to make it possible. It’s about more than the money … it’s about letting these sisters know there are those of us out here who truly do care.
Today is Tri Delta’s Day of Giving in celebration of World Kindness Week and I’m serving as an Ambassador to rally sisters and friends in joining me in an act of kindness by making a gift.
